Paralympic star is a former terrorist

This story made me wonder what a former terrorist is. I mean, do people suddenly reform and emerge their dark days of violence, guns, murder, bombs, and mayhem ? Or are they still a terrorist ?

Still, this guy seems to have reformed enough to make it in the big time of world sport. So congratulations .... well sort of.
