Is Google calendar for real ?

Theres been a lot of comment in web logs about Google Calendar recently. From a personal perspective I think the idea of a worldwide searchable linkable indexable and usable calendaring system would be great.

I can'l imagine how many times I've been out of town in a different city, only to come home and find out hat an event I would have loved to be at, was on but I never knew about it.

This has great community and social benefits. Imagine a mass of people, each of whom have never met, suddenly seeing an event date for something they have in common ? I'd bet the event organisers would love it too. Imagine the untapped market.

Roll on Google ... this could be the best most usable tool yet.
