Imminent Internet Log Jam April 12th 2005
Next Tuesday April 12th users of Windows XP who don't already have SP2 installed, will no longer be able to block the download of the 200MB SP2 Upgrade. It'll happen automatically.
Obviously this will only happen if affected users log on during that day or at any other time afterwards. I'm wondering right now what impact this will have on the internet in general. The traffic load of potential millions of 200MB downloads could be disastrous. All I can think of is the poor dial-up user !
