Who will Google buy ?

A bubble or a boom?

I don’t think it’s a case any longer if Google will buy something big within the next six months, but rather, how big, how soon, and what will they decide to do with it.

This story suggests that Google might even buy News Corporation.

Like most companies, News probably has underperforming sectors of it’s business and one could assume they’d get sold off under such a deal. But for now it’’s all hypothesis, nobody really knows what is going to happen.

One thing that is tweaking my imagination though … given the departure of Murdochs son Lachlan from the company recently … is this a precursor to a move in that direction. Could it be that the young gun is playing his old man … only to come back in a new guise, possibly part of the Google banner ?
