Late Night Drinking

Chairman of the Manly Liquor Accord, Nick Vescio says that taking pubs to court over late night drinking laws would waste taxpayers money and not solve anything.

He’s right. Over the last twenty years, the Manly Council and other fringe groups have progressively turned Manly into a retirement village for the priveleged few. What was once a vibrant nightspot with plenty of late night entertainment and dining options is slowly closing down.

There's no coincidence that this story is being run on the very day that daylight saving starts (where we lose an hour by winding clocks forward). Could it be that opponents to late night drinking are trying to use the time change to catch pubs and clubs out ?

The next big thing in Manly …. late night Bingo !
