Al Gore Wants Democratic TV

Ever-tighter political and economic control of the media is a major threat to democracy. Media control is being consolidated in the hands of a few businesspeople or politicians. Al Gore is creating Current TV, his "interactive TV" channel, to encourage "democratic dialogue" much the way Digg and blogs do online.
