Yes... the weather is now officially Weird. This week we're seeing temperatures about a third of last weeks highs. And it's raining everywhere but the catchment areas.

Fires threaten homes in Queensland

A wall of flames threatened more than 30 homes and a television station on the slopes of Brisbane's Mount Coot-tha on Wednesday, fire authorities said.

The blaze was one of seven fires which menaced the state's south-east - ravaging parts of Brisbane's north and south as well as areas on the Gold Coast.
